Wagner Community School Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees for the Class of 2019 were recognized Saturday evening during the annual Wagner Community Gala. Members of the Class of 2019 were: Walt Nedved (1960-99 Coach) Coached Football and Track as well as other sports; Alex Kocer (Class of 2012) Football and 5-Time State Wrestling Champion; Robert Kokesh (Class of 2010) Football and 3-Time State Wrestling Champion; Mandy Koupal (Class of 1999) 3-Time All-State Basketball, Volleyball and 2-Time Gold Medal Winner at State Meet, still holds School High Jump Record; Denise Kennedy (Kocer) (Class of 1993) Basketball, Volleyball and Track and still holds School Triple Jump Record; Jay Swatek (Class of 1993) Football, 3-Time State Wrestling Champion and Track; Jylynn Soulek (Class of 1988) Basketball, Gymnastics and Track, still holds three records; Randy Pirner (Class of 1980) All-State Football, All-State Basketball and Track winning three events at State Track Meet; Don Slaba (Class of 1971) Track, still holds 5 School Track Records, 1970 SD & State Meet quarter mile record holder; Jay Hennies (Class of 1961) All-State Football and Basketball, and Doug Eggers (Class of 1948) Football and played in the NFL. Also being inducted was the 1979-80 State Championship Gymnastics team, members were: Jody Kocer (Studelska), Laura Fischbach (Krentz), Paige Carda (Wipf), Brenda Flannery (Koupal), Becky Breen (Koupal), Lynette Kostel, Pam Groenweg (Weber), Jolynn Weber (Soukup), Piper Hause (Wiechmann), Lori Hajek (Carda), Marla Hewitt (Mazourek), Penny Eickholt (Wiechmann), Lisa Dvorak (Lundberg), Suzanne Tessier (Koupal), Val Garner (Kafka), Joan Filhaus (Doty) and Michelle Magera (Dressler) and Coach Beesley.
