WAGNER COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE

GIVE FROM THE HEART THIS FEBRUARY
By

February is American Heart Month - a time to celebrate love, compassion, and the simple acts that save lives. Wagner community members are putting heart into action through blood donation. At the most recent Wagner Community Blood Drive, 15 units of blood were collected from 13 generous donors - enough to help up to 45 patients in local hospitals.

“While collections were lower than we typically see, it truly says a lot about this community that 13 individuals showed up willing to donate,” said Kim Jensen Dietrich, Territory Representative with LifeServe Blood Center. “Seasonal illnesses played a significant role in the number of donors we saw. This time of year is always one of the most difficult for blood collection, but the willingness of donors to come out and try speaks volumes about the heart of Wagner.”

Dietrich added, “Even 15 units can help up to 45 patients. Every donation matters — especially during challenging seasons like this.”

Love, Heart Health, and Lifesaving Care

Heart Month is a reminder that caring for our hearts also means caring for one another. Blood donations play a critical role in heart surgeries, emergency procedures, trauma care, and ongoing treatments. Winter weather and illness can slow donations, but patients still need blood every day. Each unit collected in Wagner represents hope - for a neighbor, a friend, or a loved one fighting for their life.

Cheers to Our Milestone Donors
