WAGNER COMMUNITIES THAT CARE (CTC) COALITION MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

By
WAGNER COMMUNITIES THAT CARE (CTC) COALITION MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Education: Bachelor Degree in Multi-media Design, Dakota State University Share a little bit about yourself: I live in Wagner with my family. I have three daughters that attend WCS. I enjoy spending time with family and watching my kids participate in their activities.

As a member of Wagner Communities That Care, what facility/entity do you represent? How many years have you worked there/been in this named position?

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Missouri River Area, 15 years What inspired you or why are you excited to be a part of the Wagner Communities That Care coalition and their efforts? Extra effort and energy towards our youth can help prepare them for a great future. All it takes is one person to make a difference in someone else’s life and sometimes that’s all a person/kid needs. What unique contributions do you contribute to the coalition? Working at the Boys and Girls Club allows me to build strong relationships with the youth in our community. I think it’s important to build those relationships outside of school/home settings so when youth see you in public you have an established connection.

Why do you think Wagner CTC efforts are important to our community?

Today’s society youth are faced with many obstacles and tough choices given the environments they grow up in. If we, as a community, can come together and have the same visions and goals and instill positivity and direction in today’s youth our communities will be better and stronger.
