The Rural Office of Community Services, Inc. (ROCS) celebrated the new Wagner, SD business office location with a ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. The Wagner Chamber of Commerce assisted with the event. ROCS had been located in Lake Andes and moved the business office to Wagner in July. The new Wagner location includes the business office staff, program directors and the Wagner Food Pantry. ROCS is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency that has been in business in Charles Mix County for over 50 years. ROCS serves 20 counties South Central and Southeastern South Dakota. ROCS provides services to eligible customers in the areas of nutrition, transportation, weatherization and emergency services. Other seasonal programs include free income tax preparation, school supply program and the garden program. The Wagner location is open M-F, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Anyone is welcome to stop by for a tour of the facility.
