WAGNER CANCER WALK SEPT. 6
The 13th annual Wagner Cancer Walk is a little later this year and changes have been made to some of the activities, but we hope everyone will be able to participate in the activities that are being held.
To keep everyone safe, there will not be the traditional picture of the area cancer survivors or the balloon release. We are asking survivors and supporters to participate in a “virtual” walk. Walk around Wagner Lake, or wherever you live, and share a picture or selfie to our Facebook page, Wagner Cancer Walk & Rummage. Post how many years you have been a survivor, or walk in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one. You can also take a picture in a new 2020 t-shirt that will be on sale soon.
On Sunday, September 6, at 8:30 p.m., there will be a memorial to honor those community members that have passed from cancer since last August. Family members that would like to help release a lantern in memory of their loved ones are asked to gather around Wagner Lake by 8:00 p.m. Please use social distancing guidelines.
Fireworks will once again be provided by Justin and Ruth Bouza in memory of Missy Wunder. This will be held Sunday, September 6, at dusk. We hope everyone visiting Wagner for Labor Day will be able to come view the fireworks.
