On Friday night the Wagner boys opened their season in Winner. The Raiders got down early in the game trailing 18-9 after the first period. Wagner would outscore Winner 16-9 in the second quarter and trailed by 3 going into half time. Wagner came out of the locker room ready to go scoring the first 6 points of the third quarter and taking a lead until late in the game. Winner forced some costly turnovers and defeated the Raiders 52-46. Preston Mc-Fayden led the team in points with 14, Parker Petry scored 10 and did a great job defensively against one of the premier post players in class A. Jesse Zephier and Joey Cournoyer Jr. each had 7. Carter Cournoyer had a great night scoring 6 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Carlos Galindo added 2 points. The Red Raiders out rebounded Winner 31-25 and shot a better percentage from the field 43% to 36%. The Red Raiders will be back in action at home Thursday December 14 vs TDA.

Wagner JV falls to Winner Wagner got out to an early lead in the JV game Friday night in Winner. The Raider led 11-7 after the first period and 24-22 at half time. Winner took a lead in the 3rd quarter and never relinquished it. Both teams battled in the fourth quarte but Winner prevailed 41-45. Brady Cournoyer led the team with 18 points. Carlos Galindo added 15, Frank Soukup and Leon Fields each score 3, Hunter Lhotak added 2.
