WAGNER BOYS ROLL PAST ACDC FOR SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN

TIGER, ZEPHIER PACE JV RAIDERS IN 45–14 WIN

The Wagner boys varsity basketball team continued iits strong stretch Thursday night, knocking off ACDC 72–46 to earn its sixth straight victory and improve to 13–2 on the season.

Wagner took control early and carried a 45–23 lead into halftime, setting the tone for the remainder of the contest.

Michael Koupal turned in a dominant performance on the boards, finishing with 11 points and a game-high 18 rebounds to anchor the Raiders inside. Ky Arpan and Carlos Galindo each poured in 18 points to lead Wagner’s scoring effort. Arpan added nine rebounds and four assists, while Galindo chipped in five rebounds and five assists.

Jesse Zephier also reached double figures with 15 points and handed out four assists. Jakhi Tiger added five points, while Leon Fields scored three and Colton Zephier finished with two.

The Raiders will look to keep the momentum rolling when they travel to Woonsocket on Tuesday night.

The Wagner JV boys basketball team picked up a convincing home win Thursday night, rolling past ACDC by a final score of 45–14.

Wagner set the tone early, jumping out to a 25–5 lead by halftime and never looking back. The Raiders continued to apply pressure in the second half, outscoring the Thunder 20–9 to seal the victory.

Jakhi Tiger and Colton Zephier led the way offffensively for Wagner, scoring 12 points apiece. Ron Knudsen followed with nine points, while Jackson Woods added fifive. Avery Medicine Bear finished with three points, and Payne Petry and AJ Kotab each chipped in two.

LATE PUSH FALLS SHORT FOR C TEAM AGAINST PARKER/MARION

The Wagner C team added an extra game to the schedule Thursday night, hosting Parker/ Marion at home.

Wagner fell behind early, trailing 14–6 at halftime, but made a strong push in the second half. The Raiders scored 17 points after the break, cutting into the defificit before ultimately falling to Parker/Marion by a final score of 29–23.

Ryan Gullickson led Wagner in scoring with nine points, while Ron Knudsen added seven. Kameron Chrans fifinished with three points, and Jacob Kotab and Alex Reiter each chipped in two.

The Wagner C team will be back in action Friday, February 13, when they travel to Chamberlain.
