The Wagner Boys Golf team traveled to Mitchell on Monday, September 26th to compete in regions for a chance at playing in the state A golf tournament. Wagner brought Matt Link, Colby Krcil, and Carter Smejkal. Teams Wagner was competing against consisted of Winner, Chamberlain, Parkston, Redfield, Todd County, Mobridge-Pollock, and St. Francis. In the end, both Matt Link and Colby Krcil came close to qualifying but had a few holes where the ball didn’t bounce our way. This year was a great learning experience, and the goal next year will be to compete at state. I would like to thank the senior golf members Matt and Colby for everything they contributed this year. Returning members for the 2023 golf season will include Caleb Zephier, Vince Bechen, Christian Doom, Jacob Anderson, and Carter Smejkal with hopes of adding more.
