WAGNER BOYS BASKETBALL TRAVELS TO MENNO

The Wagner boys basketball team played in Menno Tuesday night. The Raiders started off hot outscoring the Wolves 18-5 in the first period. Wagner was consistent in the first half, putting up 18 in the second quarter also and led 36-13 at the half. The boys defense remained strong holding Menno to 6 points in the third period and 9 points in the fourth winning the game by a final score of 60-28. Preston McFayden led the scoring with 18 points, Parker Petry and Carter Cournoyer dominated the paint, each of them had 12 points, Carter grabbed 9 rebound and blocked 4 shots. Joey Cournoyer Jr. scored 9 points and had 4 steals. Javian Pesicka scored 5 points, Brady Cournoyer had 3 points, and Carlos Galindo scored 1. Wagner outrebounded Menno 40-28. The boys record stands at 2-1.

Wagner wins JV game in Menno The Wagner JV boys got off to a slow start but pulled away in the second half to get their second win of the season. Both teams struggled to score early, Wagner led 8-6 after the first period. The Raiders outscored Menno 13-7 in the second period making the score 21-13 heading into half time. Wagner played excellent defense in the second half holding Menno to 12 points the last 2 periods. Wagner went on to win the game 48-25. Carlos Galindo scored 15 points, Brady Cournoyer added 9, Javian Pesicka scored 6, Kobe Drapeau 4, Winston Little Moon 4, Leon Fields 3, Damien Red Lightning 3 and Gannon Shields scored 2. The Wagner JV is now 2-1 on the season.
