WAGNER BOUNCES BACK AGAINST CHAMBERLAIN

The Wagner boys got back to their winning ways Friday night in Chamberlain. The Raiders jumped out to a 18-10 lead after the first period and led 27-21 at half time. The boys played great defense in the third quarter, Chamberlain only managed 4 points to Wagner’s 18 which made the score 45-25 heading into the final frame. The Raiders held on to their lead and won the game 61-43. Parker Petry had an excellent night shooting, he went 10 of 11 from the field, he scored 21 points to lead the team. Preston McFayden added 13, Carter Cournoyer added 12 points, Joey Cournoyer Jr. added 9, Brady Cournoyer 4 and Carlos Galindo 2. The Wagner boys are now 11-5, they travel to Burke on Monday.

Wagner JV Wins in Chamberlain

The Wagner JV team came from 13 down to win the JV game Friday night in Chamberlain. The Cubs jumped out to a 17-4 lead after the first period. Wagner stormed back in the second period outscoring Chamberlain 19-9. That made the half time score Wagner 23, Chamberlain 26. The Raiders still trailed the Cubs 32-21 heading into the fourth period. The boys took a lead early in the quarter and held on to win 45-39. Carlos Galindo scored a team high 15 points, Javian Pesicka added 10, Brady Cournoyer had 8 points, Ty Aungie scored 5, Leon Fields and Kobe Drapeau each scored 2 points.

Wagner C Team Loses by 1

The Wagner C team lost a heartbreaker in Chamberlain 38-39 on Friday night. Wagner was behind 7-4 after the first period and trailed 27-25 at halftime. The game remained close down the stretch but Wagner could not pull ahead late. Dominic Doom led the team with 18 points, Kobe Drapeau added 9 points, Ky Arpan added 4, Avery Medicine Bear added 3, Gannon Shields 2 and Winston Little Moon 2. The C team will finish up there season with a game Tuesday at home against Vermillion and a road game on Monday February 19th in Beresford.
