Tonight, we celebrated our Seniors and gave great thanks to all the parents of our gymnasts. Being a gymnast is one of the most difficult types of athletes. Gymnastics is one sport that has the greatest tendency to tear a girl down day after day if she is not provided with the needed support at home and in the gym. It is one of the most mentally exhausting sports and is not for everyone. Presenting a routine that is deemed creative enough, fun enough, confident enough, skilled enough, and energetic enough, all while being done with perfection is not an undertaking just any girl can take. She must be strong in mind and body. She must be able to persevere through the tough times and remain humble through the best of times. She must not show her disappointment in herself if she is unable to reach her personal goal while watching her teammate reach hers. These qualities are the qualities we have witnessed from Jenna Duffek. She has been a part of this team in some form or another since she was a 6th grader. It has been an honor to watch her grow as a gymnast, teammate and a beautiful young lady. Thank you, Jenna, we will miss you but wish you only the best to come. Karli Kotab is our other senior we celebrated tonight. Although Karli hasn’t been with us as long, with moving to Wagner later and through the COVID year, her upbeat personality will greatly be missed. She always had a way to lighten the mood and support the girls when needed, especially when they felt Coach Petry was being too harsh! We know you both will finish your senior year with grace and dignity. Go out and make your mark in the world ladies. We believe you will do great things.

Parents, we appreciate the continued support for your girls. We truly appreciate your what seems to be endless time on the road following your daughter from meet to meet. We appreciate you helping them through the evenings when practice seemed too mentally and physically draining. We appreciate you providing the need support through body soreness and injuries she may have endured. And THANK YOU for supporting and trusting the all the coaches! Your support and positive conversations help build relationships in the gym as well. Thank you!

We host Regions THIS FRIDAY EVENING February 3, 2023 beginning at 5:00pm! We could really use your support! Please come out to the Auxiliary gym to cheer on this WONDERFUL group of ladies.
