The girls came out to shine tonight at the Region (state qualifying) meet. We are elated with all the progress these girls have made this season. Injuries and bad weather plagued this gymnastics season. This group of girls, however, decided they did not want their season to come to an end! They came out with such poise, power, and precision. Raelynn Kuhlman, Mia Dion, Amelia Rothgeber, Jasmine Gilbert, Emersyn Tucker and Alexys Reub all earned their season best on at least one event! Raelynn earned her season best on both floor and vault. Mia Dion earned her season best on floor, beam and vault. Amelia Rothgeber earned her season best on bars. Jasmine Gilbert earned her season best on vault. Alexys Reub earned her season best on vault, beam, and floor. What a way to put on a show!

The State qualifying meet is the BEST time to peak in a season. It sends a statement to themselves, as well as to the spectators, “JUST WATCH WHAT I CAN DO!!” All season long, we have been trying to help this group FEEL their true potential. They are a talented group of girls that just need to feel what WE see in them.

Thank you, parents, for your continued support of us coaches and all the girls on the team. A team is only as strong as the bond that keeps them working together and supporting each other through the good and the bad of times. The cohesiveness of a team is nurtured in the gym and at home. Keeping the scoring, teammates, and coaching conversations positive for your daughters has proven to help her be confident within this team dynamics. And like we all say, no matter what sport these athletes are competing in, a team divided will not stand through the tough times. Way to go girls!!! WE ARE SOOO PROUD of EVERY ONE of you. Your time, energy, commitment to team, and personal goals has kept you grounded and on the path to reach your dreams.

The team would like to thank all the families that helped supply food for the athletes’ food table and for the snacks you provided for the team.

Thank you to Alexys Dion for the good luck gift bags you gave to the entire team! It was a nice surprise! Thank you Denell, for the surprise team banner! And thank you to the Kuhlman family for the monetary donation to help purchase food for the athletes. We are so blessed to have such great support! THANK YOU ALL!

We also learned that our assistant coach Stephanie Duffek will no longer be with us after this season. She has decided to allow herself to just be “mom”! All who know Steph, know how big her heart is. She has been a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a smile to share, a LOOK to shape up, and hug to console for many girls throughout her time with us. She has been such an important person within our gym. She is always trying to find ways to make the girls better as a gymnast and as an individual. She strives to help the girls reach their true potential. THANK YOU, STEPHANIE DUFFEK, for all you have done for so many girls! WE LOVE YOU! YOU WILL BE MISSED!
