West Central 112.70 This year has been a tough season for the Wagner Bon Homme gymnasts. The first week of practice began way back in October. Since October, these girls have practiced 5 days a week, with a couple Saturdays thrown in there and have had only two competitions prior to this tournament all season. The days upon days of practice with little judge feedback, the lack of opportunity to pre-qualify for state, and the snow days all proved to be too much for the girls’ minds and bodies today. The team ended up 7th today due to injury. Although we ended the last half of the meet with some bad news, we also had some girls realize they can perform better than they believed they could. Stepping up to compete because the team needed them to was tough but well worth fighting through the twitchy nerves. This competition season is officially half finished. Keeping our goals at the forefront of every practice and competition will help them stay more focused and hopefully utilize the practice time more efficiently. Praying with some continued stretching, strengthening, and focused practices these girls will be able to show how great they are in these last few regular season meets. Wagner will be hosting meets on January 19, 2023 beginning at 6pm, and January 26, 2023 beginning at 6pm as well. We will also be hosting the REGION MEET (the state qualifying meet) Friday, February 3,2023 beginning at 6pm. Please come out to cheer these ladies on!
