On Friday, April 14, Wagner’s track and field teams traveled to Avon for a meet. The girls would end up winning this meet by one point over Corsica-Stickney. They would bring home four first place medals in the process.

Emma Yost won both throwing events as she tossed the discus a distance of 112’ 0” and would heave the shot 36’ 8”. Ashlyn Koupal would win the high jump with a leap of 4’ 10”. Shalyne Nagel won the 200 dash with a clocking of 29.16.

The boys finished in third place and a couple of 8th graders would come through for the boys as champions of two events. Javian Pesicka would claim the top honors in the long jump with a distance of 18’ 0”. Jesse Zephier would be champion of the triple jump as he would go 36’ 0”.
