The Wagner Area Foundation gave out $20,000 in community grants to the above organizations for 2017/2018. The Foundation appreciates each and every contribution to the Wagner Area Foundation. These contributions enable the Foundation to help ensure that our hometown will always have an endowed savings account, the interest only of which can be used each year to help our town grow and prosper. The Wagner Area Foundation account is an advised fund within the South Dakota Community Foundation and allows the Wagner Area Foundation to distribute a percentage of the funds average fair market value each year. Through the Wagner Area Foundation account, you can leave a legacy for future generations. Contributions may also be given as a gift in honor of a special event or in memory of an individual (a scholarship or in lieu of flowers upon a death, etc.) Memorial contribution cards may be picked up, free of charge, at the Commercial State Bank, Peters Funeral Home, First Dakota National Bank, or Wipf & Cotton Law Offices, LLC, in Wagner, during business hours. The Wagner Area Foundation appreciates each and every one of the above-named recipients and the programs which they operate. Wagner is a very lucky community to have the individuals pictured above who commit many hours of their time in promoting the above-named programs.
