The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary members donated a check to the Wagner Community School Back Pack Program in the amount of $400 this past Wednesday, October 26. Sandy Sein-er is pictured above presenting the check to Sue Isebrands.

The Back Packs are given each week to students in Kindergar-ten and First grade. Approximately 90 back packs are given out each week. This is the 6th year of the program.

The food is purchased from Feeding SD each month with ap-proximately $1200-$1800 pur- chased each month. All the dona- tions come from the Wagner area. Each sack is filled with canned soup, vegetables, tuna or chicken, fruit cup, individual servings of cereal, energy bar, beef sticks, shelf stable milk, etc.

Lori Bouza, Wagner, is in change of ordering the supplies each month.
