VETERANS, SEE WHAT’S BREWING!

By
Jerry Seiner

The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a “Coffee and Conversation” event in Charles Mix County on September 21, 2022 at the American Legion Post in Wagner, SD from 10:00 until noon. Working in partnership with your county veterans service officer, the Department wants the opportunity to visit one-onone with veterans and see what’s brewing!

“What’s Brewing,” is a great opportunity for us to visit with veterans and hear firsthand issues they might be experiencing, as well as allow us an opportunity to brief them on new benefits and services,” said SDDVA Secretary Greg Whitlock. “As the advocate for South Dakota veterans, we need to know what challenges our veterans are facing.”

The SDDVA team and county veterans service officers will address questions about veteran’s benefits; including compensation, education, pension, healthcare, burial, state veterans cemetery, and state veterans home. They will also be prepared to brief veterans on the new Honoring our Pact Act of 2022.

We encourage veterans to join us if they can. As always, they can reach our SDDVA team, at 605.333.6869 or can contact the Charles Mix County Veterans Service Officer, Jerry Seiner at 605-487-7691 or 605-481-1338.
