Landon Thury attended Avon American Legion & Auxiliary's dinner and flag retirement ceremony at Mary and Rick Hurd's Hilltop Haven/The Bunker in rural Wagner on August 15th. Landon told the group of 14 about his Boys State experiences, and shared a text message from Noah Watchhorn, who was unable to attend the flag ceremony. Both boys were extremely appreciative of the opportunity provided to them by Arthur Wissman Post 150. Landon also assisted Legion and Auxiliary members with respectfully retiring unserviceable flags at the sunset event
