THUNDER STRIKE EARLY IN WIN OVER SUNSHINE BIBLE

The AC/DC Thunder used a strong start and balanced scoring effort to earn a 54-27 victory over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders on February 9 at Dakota Christian School.

AC/DC set the tone early, building a 16-6 lead after the first quarter. The Thunder continued to control the pace in the second, stretching the advantage to 34-14 at halftime. A 16-point third quarter helped extend the lead to 50-18 heading into the final frame, allowing AC/DC to cruise to the 27-point win.

Halle Olson led the Thunder with a dominant all-around performance, pouring in 25 points while adding 10 rebounds, six assists, and seven steals. Lily Muckey added 11 points and five steals, while Audrey DeHoan contributed seven points and six rebounds.

AC/DC shot an efficient 52 percent from the field, connecting on 21-of-40 attempts. The Thunder also went 11-of-20 from the free-throw line (55 percent), pulled down 23 rebounds, and finished with 12 turnovers.

Sunshine Bible was led by Tessa Hinman and Ciera Mickelson, who each scored eight points.

With the win, the Thunder improved their season record to 3-14. AC/DC will look to build on the momentum in its next matchup.
