HIGHMORE — Feb. 7, 2026 — The AC/DC Thunder Girls Basketball team put together a determined, full-effort performance Friday night but came up short against a deep and efficient White River squad, falling 68–54 on the road.
The Thunder were locked in early, trading baskets with White River in a 10–10 opening quarter. AC/DC continued to compete in the second, leaning on strong interior play and ball movement to stay within reach, but White River began to find its rhythm offensively as the game progressed and pulled away late.
Senior leader Lily Muckey powered the Thunder offense with a game-high 22 points, attacking the lane and finishing through contact. Halle Olson turned in one of her most complete performances of the season, adding 14 points, hauling in 12 rebounds, dishing out 11 assists, and swiping 4 steals in a near triple-double effort.
AC/DC controlled the glass for long stretches, finishing with 39 total rebounds, including 11 from Muckey, and showed flashes of crisp offense. The Thunder shot 32% from the field (19-of-63) and went 15-of-31 from the free-throw line. Turnovers proved costly, however, as White River capitalized on 26 AC/DC miscues to generate transition points.
White River was led by a balanced scoring attack from Leah Carr (18 points), Paige Wright (17), and Hadley Morrison (16), which helped the Tigers maintain pressure throughout the second half.
With the loss, the Thunder move to 2–15 on the season but continue to show growth, resilience, and leadership as the postseason approaches.
