The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder earned a dramatic postseason victory before seeing their season come to an end a few days later.

The Thunder traveled to Marty on March 3 for an exciting matchup against the Marty Braves. In a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final seconds, Andes Central/Dakota Christian secured a narrow 68–67 victory to advance.

Jamian Medicine Horn led the Thunder with an outstanding performance, scoring 33 points on the night. Edward Ulrich added 17 points, while Samuel Rouse contributed 11. Kashton Garcia rounded out the scoring for the Thunder with 7 points.

The win advanced Andes Central/Dakota Christian to the next round at the Corn Palace in Mitchell on March 7, where they faced Lower Brule.

With some players sidelined due to injuries, the Thunder faced a difficult challenge. Lower Brule built momentum throughout the game and ultimately handed Andes Central/Dakota Christian a 62–87 loss.

Despite the setback, the Thunder’s hard-fought win over Marty highlighted the team’s determination and strong effort during postseason play. Jamian Medicine Horn’s scoring performance and the team’s late-game execution helped secure one of the most exciting finishes of the season.
