On Wednesday, June 5, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 14U teeners traveled to White Lake to take on Kimball-White Lake. Wagner had baserunners galore in this one as we used 15 hits, 16 walks, and one hit batsman to score 25 runs enroute to a 25-5 victory.
We had three players with multiple hits. Dominic Doom reached base all five times he came to bat. He was 3 for 3, including a double while drawing two walks. He knocked in two runs and scored five. Colton Zephier collected three hits, scored three runs and batted one in. Trasin Dilts was the other multi-hit collector, legging out a triple for one of his two hits. Dilts also scored three runs. Brannon Bruguier, Kingston Brunelle, Ethan Gabel, Jacob Kotab, Ruger Loeffler, Steven Peters, and Avery Medicine Bear all added one hit to the parade. Medicine Bear’s hit was a bases loaded double which plated all three runners. Bruguier also collected a double.
Medicine Bear started on the mound for Wagner. In his two innings of work he allowed four runs, all of which were earned, on four hits while walking three, hitting three, and striking out three. Brunelle threw the next two frames and gave up one earned run while striking out six and walking one. Bruguier then tossed the final frame giving up no runs on one hit and striking out one.
