SUFFOCATING DEFENSE CARRIES LADY RAIDERS TO 57–12 CONFERENCE WIN

JV LADY RAIDERS CLAMP DOWN IN 40–8 WIN OVER ACDC THUNDER

The Lady Raiders wrapped up LMVC conference play with the ACDC Thunder last Thursday night in girls basketball action. Wagner would dominate from the tip holding a 16-6 lead after the fifirst and then coast to a 57-12 victory. The Raiders wouldn’t shoot the best from the fifield converting on 45% of their fifield goals 23-51 and only 6-11 from the charity stripe. They would hold the Thunder to 6-27 for 22% and they would go 0-4 from the line. Wagner would control the glass out rebounding the Thunder 28-13. Wagner would commit 12 turnovers compared to 23 by the Thunder. Ashlyn Koupal would lead all scorers with 29 points, 7 boards, 6 steals, and 2 assists. Peytyn Wiechmann would add 6 points offff the bench with 4 boards and 2 steals. Hannah Holzbauer and Mila Hopkins would each add 5 points. Hannah would dish out 4 assists and grab 3 boards while Mila would dish out 2 assists. Hayden Knudsen would chip in 4 points grab 5 boards, dish out 4 assists and come away with 3 steals. Braxton Nedved and Clarah Soukup would each contribute 3 points. Braxton would grab 2 boards and come away with 2 steals. Ravyn Medricky would round out the scoring with 2 points, 5 boards and dish out 3 assists. “Defensively we did a really great job. We only allowed 2 offffensive boards, and kept both of their posts scoreless. We did a nice job of running the flfloor tonight and converting. Two weeks of the regular season left and need to continue to finish strong.”

The JV had a strong performance with a 40-8 victory. TyShay Medicine Bear would lead all scorers with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Clarah Soukup would hit double figures with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 6 steals. Valencia Big Bear would finish with 5 points and 5 steals. Peytyn Wiechmann would add 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Mila Hopkins and Camry Link each added 3 points. Camry would grab 5 boards and 2 steals while Mila would finish with 3 rebounds. Oliva Podzimek and Raeyon Fool Bull would round out the scoring with 2 points apiece. Olivia would dish out 2 assists and come away with 2 steals.

BALANCED ATTACK LIFTS C TEAM LADY RAIDERS TO 40–13 VICTORY

The C team would take on the Parker Marion Pheasants. They would come away with a 40-13 victory. Aryonni Picotte would lead all scorers with 14 points. Mila Hopkins would net 6 points while Valencia Big Bear and Shania Perdue would each add 5. Camry Link and Raeyon would each chip in 4 points while Teagan Langdeaux would round out the scoring with 2 points.
