Stephanie Atencio

One of this week’s WCS senior spotlights features Stephanie Atencio. Stephanie is the daughter of Charisse Redlightning. Stephanie goes by the nickname Steph. During Stephanie’s high school years at Wagner Community School, she has been involved many extracurricular activities including basketball (four years), JAG (four years) and Student Council (four years).

The person that Stephanie admires most in her life is her cousin Jolene, because of how strong and hardworking she is. Jolene taught Stephanie to never give up on her dreams even when things get hard. Jolene went to college which inspires Stephanie to also go to college to become either a counselor or a nurse.

Stephanie’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Petrik. After graduation, Stephanie plans to go to college. As her time at WCS comes to an end, Stephanie leaves her mark on WCS with a quote from Nicki Minaj.
