There were really no surprises as to the Wagner qualifiers for the state meet. Ashlyn Koupal will compete in the high jump. She is currently tied for 1st place in that event. Emma Yost will compete in both the shot put and discus. She is sitting 8th and 5th in those events, respectively. Shalayne Nagel will run the 200 meter dash. She has the 22nd fastest time going in. Kya Kjeldgaard will also compete in the high jump. She is tied with four others for the 18th best jump.

For the boys, Jhett Breen will compete in the 300 hurdles. He has the 8th best time in that event. Matt Link will compete in two events. He has the 24th best time in the 100 meter dash and the 15th farthest leap in the long jump. Karstyn Lhotak will compete in the pole vault, tied with two others for the 14th best vault.

These athletes will compete this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 25-27, at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
