The Library was very pleased to host Starr Chief Eagle, Hoop Dancer Extraordinaire, Lakota Teacher on Thursday, July 15th. Starr began the program with a handson activity with the children. She gave them tips on using the hoops and then had them invite other children from the audience to participate in movements as a group. Starr continued with information for all attending on the Lakota culture and concluded the presentation with three dancers (including Starr) performing for the audience.
