SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON SENIOR ALI SEES

Senior Ali Sees, daughter of Joe and Janelle Sees and sister to Lauren, Courtney, Easton, and Hudson Sees, was born on December 19, 2002.

Finding science interesting, Ali’s favorite subject is anything science related. She enjoys participating in labs and hands-on learning projects.

Figuring out where she wanted to go to college and what occupation she was interested in was Ali’s most challenging task as a senior. She has settled on attending college at the University of South Dakota to major in medical biology.

Ali values the time she gets to spend with her friends, her free time in the gym, and outdoor activities. She cherishes all of the sports and extracurricular activities in which she is involved. Making it to state track and state basketball is Ali’s proudest moment in life thus far.

Some advice that Ali would like to share with underclassmen to would be to “stop caring about what other people think of you”. One thing that Ali regrets about her high school career is procrastinating. She wishes that she would have gotten her work done right away instead of putting it off.

AHS has prepared Ali for life outside of school by teaching her that she needs to be organized and self-disciplined, skills learned from Ali’s parents who are her role models because they are unselfish, caring, and hardworking. An inspirational quote that Ali lives by is from Mrs. Cahoy. “Life is a journey; you just need to know the next step.”

Ali will always remember the people she grew up with during her time at AHS. Along with high school sports, which she was widely involved in, Ali will miss the relationships that she built with teachers and friends the most.
