Every year South Dakota's pheasant hunt opener weekend brings thousands of hunting enthusiasts from all across the country.

That annual tradition holds true for the Fathke crew that have been hosting out of state hunters for almost 40 years here in Avon.

This year the group had a good weekend overall with bird numbers but what these men treasure most about this annual event isn't the bird count, it's the people and the tradition that keeps them coming back year after year.
