At the last meeting of the South-Central ABATE chapter Saturday, November 11th, the chapter presented checks to local cancer organizations. They were able to present to three local cancer organizations which included the Wagner Cancer Walk and Rummage, the Pickstown Pink Ladies and Wings of Hope of Platte. Each organization was presented with a $2,500 check. The donations come from the chapter’s sponsorships, money raised from the annual poker run and selling raffle tickets.

The ABATE chapter is very thankful to be able to present such large donations to local cancer organizations. They know that it would not be possible without the help of their sponsors and generous donors. The chapter is currently selling raffle tickets for a Lowrance fish finder donated by Donlin Marine to raise money for their cancer fund. ABATE’s next meeting will be held at the Duck Inn Saturday, December 9th at 5:30 p.m. They will be having a pot luck dinner.
