SOON-TO-BE GRADUATES EXPERIENCE SENIORITIS
Senioritis is defined as “a supposed affliction of students in their final year of high school or college, characterized by a decline in motivation or performance.” As spring arrives, teachers tend to watch seniors suffer through senioritis. Seniors tend to cause teachers to suffer through it as well. Mrs. Connie Gretschmann said, “We know senioritis starts to kick in when students say ‘Do we have to do this?’ and the countdown shows up on my whiteboard.”
It’s a hard line to walk. It is most definitely a busy time of year academically mixed with an equally busy time of year athletically. As the two schedules collide, internal motivation to complete work is crucial!
Tiffany Pelton said, “With college classes coming to an end, everything seems to be going really fast, but I don't want to wish that away because senior year has been one of the best years.”
