Presley Slaba of Wagner was presented with a monetary award for her entry in the “Get Excited for the Red, White and Blue” VFW Auxiliary National Singing Contest.

She recorded a video solo vocal performance of The Star-Spangled Banner for her entry. She placed first at the local level and went on to State to place second.

The local contest was sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary to Post #7319 in Wagner. She is shown above being presented her award by Auxiliary member Sandy Seiner.

Presley is the daughter of Mieke and Matt Slaba of Wagner and will be a junior at Wagner High School this fall.
