SHARON DVORACEK RETIRES AFTER 27 YEARS AT FORT RANDALL TELEPHONE COMPANY
After 27 years of service at the Fort Randall Telephone Company, Sharon Dvoracek has decided to retire. For the past 27 years, Sharon has been a customer service representative for the company. She has taken care of service orders, ordered materials for the office, and assisted customers with various questions and concerns. When Sharon and her late husband, Bruce first moved to Wagner, she was looking for a change from her career of working for attorneys. When she met the Hansen family who owned the Fort Randall Telephone Company, she found her next career. Sharon’s favorite part of working for the Fort Randall Telephone Company is that it is a family-owned faith-based company. Everyone who works for the company has become family to her.
Now that she is retiring, she plans to fulfill what she and Bruce always dreamed of, spending more time with their kids and grandkids. They have two children, Michael who lives in Harrisburg and Crystal who lives in Montana. Michael has a son, Jax, who is nine years old, and Crystal has a daughter, Adayla, who is one. She plans to follow the grandkids in their sports and other activities as they grow up. Sharon will also continue the families drag racing legacy. Bruce started drag racing in the 70s and Michael, Jax and Crystal’s husband have continued the tradition. Sharon will continue living in Lesterville and volunteer there and in the Yankton community.
Friday, September 29th was Sharon’s last day. She leaves the office in the ever-capable hands of co-worker, Tootie Loeffler. She will miss both her customers and co-workers. Congratulations on your retirement and the Wagner and surrounding communities will miss you.
