SEVERE WEATHER PREPAREDNESS WEEK

APRIL 25–29
By

On Thursday, April 28, Charles Mix County will be conducting a County-Wide Tornado drill. This year will be a bit different than past as the NWS will not be issuing a Tornado Watch over the NOAA radios.

At 10:15 A.M. Charles Mix County Dispatch will begin testing the outdoor weather sirens in each community along with North Point and Snake Creek Recreation Areas. The test will be a three minute solid tone.

Please take time to prepare for the upcoming severe weather season. Our weather patterns appear to be off from what we are used to; take the time to make a plan and be prepared for any situation. If you have any questions please contact Mike Kotab, Charles Mix County Emergency Manager, at 605-491-3134.
