It was the start of a very busy week for The Wagner Red Raiders Cross Country Team as they headed to Gregory for a second time this season. Gregory was host to the SESD conference meet. The course was well marked and easy to follow. One could tell that Gregory has hosted many Cross Country meets with how well organized they were. This is important, especially if they want teams to come run at their race again. The teams were grateful for this.

It was a pivotal moment for many of Wagner’s runners with this being a conference meet, there would be no middle school race. Wagner has a very young team and every one of the middle school runners wanted to race and chose to step up to the next level and run the JV race. This is taking the middle school runners almost a mile further than their usual race. To say we were proud of them is truly an understatement! They, along with the regular JV runners and Varsity runners, stepped up to this race and did not disappoint.
