As tradition for the Avon choir, vocal director Autumn Schultz and the six seniors (Haden Cahoy, Makayla Kopp, Kiara Driesen, Tiffany Pelton, Katie Gretschmann, and Reece Loewe) sang Valentine’s Day serenades as a fundraiser for the senior music trip. Having a total of 36 gifts/serenades to give out in seven different towns, everyone left to go sing at 7:15 A.M . The towns that were traveled to include Springfield, Tyndall, Avon, Armour, Wagner, Corsica, and Tripp.

"This is such a fun fundraiser and I look forward to it every year. It forces the senior students to get over their inhibitions of public performance,” said Schultz. “Through different comments, facial reactions, letters, texts, and messages, they realize the positive impact they made on these people's day. People won't necessarily remember a box of chocolates or flowers they receive on Valentine's Day, but they'll surely remember when you showed up unannounced at their house while they were still in their PJs. I just love it!"
