SENIOR TRIP LANDS CLASS IN MARYVILLE
At 8:00 am on April 11, the seniors departed from Avon for Maryville, MO with chaperones Kathy Blaha, Connie Gretschmann and Dean DeJong. They headed first to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. Getting there around noon, the seniors were able to spend a couple of hours walking around, taking pictures of animals, and eating before getting back on the road. Next stop, they reached their destination in Maryville. Upon arrival, the girls and boys both got cabins to themselves. That night they went out to eat at the A & G restaurant in Maryville. After eating, they headed back to the cabins for a fire and smores.
The next day had breakfast and lunch together as a class at the cabins. Then, they headed to the Odyssey Obstacle Course where they were strapped in harnesses 30 feet in the air on a wired course. After the adrenaline rush, they headed back to cabins to relax and freshen up. That evening they traveled back into town for pizza and axe throwing at Timbearcats Axe Throwing. The seniors received free koozies for coming.
The final day they departed from the cabins and started heading home making a couple stops along the way. Their main last hoorah was the Nebraska Crossing Outlet. The seniors were able to shop for a while before making the final leg home.
