Jacob Ratzlaf f, born March 30, 2008, is the son of Steve and Cathy Ratzlaff and the brother of Justin, Jeanah, Jonah, Jaelin, Jaden, and Jorden. Throughout high school, Jacob has discovered his passion for hands-on work, with his favorite subject being shop class, where he enjoys building and creating. Like many seniors, Jacob faces challenges, and his most difficult task this year has been learning to save money. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting his grandparents and helping out with miscellaneous jobs around their home. One of Jacob’s favorite quotes is, “Mindset without discipline is useless,” which reflects his approach to both school and life. His favorite high school activity has been football, and the memories he will cherish the most are the fun times he has shared with teachers and friends. Jacob looks up to his dad as his role model, appreciating the advice and guidance he provides whenever it’s needed. High school has prepared him well for the future by teaching him important skills like time management and being prepared for the tasks ahead. After graduation, Jacob plans to attend Southeast Tech to study plumbing. In addition, he hopes to invest in a few rental properties and raise cattle. His advice to underclassmen is simple but meaningful: work hard and be respectful. Looking back, one thing Jacob wishes he had done differently is put more effort into his grades. What he will miss most about high school is spending time with his friends and enjoying the daily moments that have made his school experience so memorable.
