SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

HAYDEN TALSMA
By
: Kendra Mixon
Hayden Darrol Talsma was born April 28, 2006 to Jerry and Tina Talsma. Hayden has one sibling, Hensley. Hayden’s favorite subject in school is anatomy because he loves learning how the body works. The most challenging task as a senior for Hayden is being a leader and having everyone look up to him. In his spare time Hayden enjoys reading, drawing, and riding horses. An inspirational quote that Hayden lives by is: “If you’re not afraid of the speed then you’re not going fast enough.” Hayden’s favorite high school activity is choir. One memory that Hayden will always remember about his time at AHS is sitting in study hall participating in random conversations. Hayden’s proudest moment in life thus far is receiving first place at the Black Hills Stock Show in Hippology. High school has prepared Hayden for life outside of AHS by giving him many experiences that he will bring with him to his future. Hayden plans on attending Lake Area College to become an animal behavioral specialist. Advice that Hayden would give to underclassmen is to take every chance and try everything once. One thing Hayden would do over in high school is be more outgoing. Something that Hayden will miss the most about AHS is the companionship of his classmates.
