SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

By
Kinley Doom
Terran Neils Talsma was born March 22, 2006. Terran's parents are Ty and Kristin Talsma, and his siblings are Treyvan and Gianna Talsma. Terran's favorite subject in school is geometry. Terran enjoys this subject because he comprehends it well. The most challenging task that Terran faces as a senior is trying to stay on task when you are excited to leave. In his spare time, Terran likes to do rodeo. Terran competed in steer wrestling in Las Vegas this past December. One inspirational quote that Terran lives by is, “the only way to do something is to just do it”, that means putting 110% effort into what you are doing. Terran also enjoys playing football. One memory that he will remember forever at AHS is winning state football this year. Another memory that he will remember is one day when they were at football practice it started to rain. Coach Brad Bierema was standing underneath the shed roof to stay dry. Terran walked over to Brad, picked him up, carried him out into the rain, and threw him into a mud puddle. Terran says that his proudest moment in life thus far is beating his father in steer wrestling at the Fort Pierre rodeo. His biggest role model is his dad; he says that his dad is the best all-around man that he has met in his life. When asked Terran how high school has prepared him for life outside of AHS, he responded that AHS has shown me how to handle life situations and people. Terran plans to play college football and do pro rodeo, he is unsure what college he wants to attend. What Terran will most miss about AHS is playing football, and how funny Mr.Kuhlman is.
