Tyler Joesph Tjeerdsma is a senior at Avon High School, and was born on June 9th, 2006. Tyler is the son of Amber Babutzke and Travis Tjeerdsma, and stepmother Hillary Tjeerdsma. He has 6 siblings, Thayne, Tucker, Hudsyn, and Haliegn Tjeerdsma, as well as Sean and Nick Schryvers. Tyler enjoys playing sports, welding, and making memories with his friends. One of Tyler's proudest moments is placing at state sporting events as an underclassman. Tyler says that high school has prepared him for life outside of AHS because it taught him how to have responsibility and that not everything is going to be handed to him.

Tyler plans to attend Mitchell Tech in the plumbing/heating and cooling program. One thing Tyler will remember forever about his time at AHS is in 2021 when the football team played Hitchcock Tulare in the semi-finals game. The Pirates sadly fell short by just a yard to make it to play in state at the dome. A quote that Tyler lives by is “Hard work beatstalentwhentalentfailstoworkhard.”–MichaelJordan.
