'Even though the season did not end like we wanted, I am proud of our team this year. We finished the season at 5-5 losing in the second round of the playoffs. Our regular season schedule was tough with seven of the eight teams on our schedule making the playoffs. The Pirates ended up finishing second in the Great Plains Conference. We will definitely miss our Seniors next season, but if our younger players that got valuable experience during this season work hard in the offseason, I think our team could surprise everyone next season.' ~ Coach Tom Culver
