Samantha Brodeen
Samantha Brodeen was born on February 6, 2004 to Cathy and the late Jack Brodeen. She has an older brother, Slater. In her spare time, Brodeen enjoys spending time with her friends and watching movies. She lives by a quote by Theodore Rosovelt. It reads, “Believe you can and you’re already halfway there.”
Brodeen has challenged herself in her academic career through high school. She especially enjoys Mrs. Connie Gretschmann’s precalculus class. Brodeen said, “ I enjoy this class the most because there is always something new to learn, and it makes you think.”
Brodeen has also been active in athletics throughout high school. She has participated in basketball, volleyball, and track. She said, “Sports have taught me many valuable lessons and I will forever cherish all of the memories that I have made with my teammates.”
As a senior, Brodeen said that the most challenging task is making decisions about what is to come after high school. She plans to attend USD in the fall of 2022 but is unsure which career direction she wants to pursue.
Brodeen has cherished all of the time and memories at AHS. One memory that she will always remember is the time many students were hanging out in the parking lot enjoying time together after a volleyball game. To celebrate a Pirate victory, the students lit off fireworks!
Brodeen said, “I’m glad to have known my classmates over the last thirteen years and I am very grateful for all of the memories that we have shared together.”
