President Bryan Slaba called the Wagner Rotary Club to order on Wednesday, March 31st. Pastor Bill Heermann offered up a prayer of thanksgiving for the food and fellowship and for guidance in making wise decisions about caring for our Wagner Community.

The group recited the Pledge of Allegiance. We have not returned to our custom of singing Rotary songs quite yet.

Sergeant at Arms Becky Brunsing went easy on the fines. $2 to Jeff Doom for his comment about last week's program; $1 to Francis Doom, Jeff Doom, Ken Cotton and Pastor Bill for setting at a different table from their usual spot; $2 to Francis Doom for sitting too close to the Sergeant at Arms; Happy Fines were $10.00 from Bryan Slaba for arriving at the final stages of Covid Vaccinations. As of April 5th, it will be opened to everyone for receiving the vaccine.

Scott McAdaragh once again had a chance at winning the Queen of Hearts drawing but only pulled an 8 of Hearts out of the remaining cards in the deck.

Secretary/Treasurer Patty Frei reported 17 members present for the meeting with a total of $19.00 collected for the drawing which is now right at $561.00 She also announced that she had about two raffle books left for the annual District 5610 drawing which were promptly taken by members. She also passed out or delivered several old football raffle winnings from last fall after we had discontinued our weekly meetings.

Frei also announced her resignation from the position of Secretary/Treasurer which she has held for several years. She is expanding her insurance business at a different location and has taken on other community responsibilities. We thank her for her many years of service.

Our usual progression to a program was discontinued as we had several business matters to discuss. The pandemic interrupted our yearly schedule last March and then again last October with a resurgence of the virus. Voting was by secret ballot. Bryan Slaba was officially selected as our President for the 20-21 Rotary year which began on 7-01-20; Becky Brunsing was officially selected to be Vice President Elect to take over the Presidency on 7-01-2022. Kathe Henke was selected to be on the new Board of Directors for the rest of our 20-21 year.

The meeting had run over by that time so we recited our 4-Way Pledge and will continue with our business agenda next week.
