President Jordan Weber presided over his first regular meeting of his Rotary Year by leading the members in prayer. Guests of Jeff Doom were Amy Doom and his mother Jeanette. Kristina Ymker was a guest of Amanda Bechen. The members sang ROTARY and then there was a moment of silence for Jerry Barnett.

The Membership Minute Chairperson Patty Frei talked about the Rotary theme for July and the Target areas.

The new SAA Jerry Weber levied fines: $2 to Bryan Slaba for a phone infraction, $2 each to Bill Frei, Craig Krsnak, and Gerrit Juffer for wearing shorts to the meeting. A warning was given to Jerry Henke about appreciating his wife, Kathe. $2 to Jamie Soukup who showed up even though he said he might not attend the meeting; $2 to Scott McAdaragh for wearing the same shirt as last week, $2 to Jeff Doom for an extra guest; $2 to Rachel Woods in the hope that she will teach her Dad Scott how to wave at people. A $2 Happy Fine came from Gerrit Juffer because the swim meet being held that day was going well, $2 from Jerry Weber for a great class reunion put on by Jeff Doom; $2 from Jamie Soukup for where he is sitting again, $2 from Bill Frei for gaining a free motorcycle.

Rotarian Patty Frei had a chance at winning the Queen of Hearts, but she drew a King of Clubs. The pot is up to $159.00. The attendance teams had two misses on the Brunsing Team and three misses on the Soukup Team.

The program was sponsored by Rotarian Jeff Doom, and this will be an abbreviated version due to the fact that this reporter was out of internet for several days due to a home construction project. WagnerAreaGrowthDevelopment Director Margaret Doom presented a program titled “Escaping the Housing Trap” by Charles Marohn, Jr. and David Herrigs. The majority of the Rotarians agreed that there is a housing crisis across our country and there is one in our very own Wagner, South Dakota.
