President Becky Brunsing rang the Thanksgiving holiday in with a rather questionable ring. Members rated the ring on the low end of the scale. Rotarian/Pastor Bill Herrman gave thanks for the meal and all the blessings we have experienced this past year.

Assistant Song Leader Jeff Doom picked “Down in the Valley” which turned out to be a poor attempt on everyone’s part to make it sound presentable. It was one of those meetings when you are glad that there are no visitors present.

Rotarian Ken Cotton delivered his weekly Membership Minute speaking about Diversity in Rotary. As an international organization, Rotary values its diversity around the world and within each club. One of our top priorities is growing and diversifying our membership to make sure it reflects the communities we serve and is inclusive of all cultures, experiences, and identities.

Sergeant at Arms Jamie Soukup Becky Brunsing $2 for not knowing that Joe Stedronsky was absent; $2 to Jerry Weber for skipping out on the meeting (he claimed he forgot) and $2 to Bryan Slaba for skipping his meal; $2 to Jamie Soukup for getting help for his program. A $10 Happy Fine came from Jeff Doom who was quite proud that his daughter Jilanne placed 106th out of 35,000 runners in the Philadelphia Marathon. She also placed 37th in her age and gender group plus qualifying for the New York Marathon which is considered the elite of marathons. Patty Frei was $2 happy that her daughter is now employed in Mandan North Dakota.

Once again, the “lucky table” at Rotary produced someone holding the winning ticket number. Jerry Henke came close by finding the 10 of Hearts. Secretary Treasurer Craig Krsnak announced that the Queens drawing is up to $276.00.

The attendance race found three misses on the Juffer Team and only one miss on the Frei team for totals of eight for Juffer and five for Frei.

Winning football winners were Book number 67 sold by Ken Cotton for Craig Cotton and Sutton Weber sold by Jerry Weber.

President Brunsing assisted Rotarian Jamie Soukup in presenting his program. Soukup passed out two small packages of colored M&M’s to each member. Instructions were given to pick out one of the colors from the package. A color key was put up on the screen to assist everyone in talking about their various colors and why they chose them. It centered around Thankfulness. Each color represented someone or something you were thankful for. Almost every color was chosen by each Rotarian. It was a lighthearted program which everyone enjoyed.

The meeting was adjourned in our usual fashion with recitation of The Rotary Four-Way Test: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
