President Becky Brunsing returned to her presidential duties Wednesday, November 15th with a very sharp ring of the Rotary Bell. There were no guests, and no Seniors present so Pastor/ Rotarian Bill Heermann led the group in prayer. He gave thanks for the beautiful fall weather, our creation and asked for guidance for all Rotarians as we go about our days in our Wagner Community.

Assistant Song leader Jeff Doom led the group in singing the first verse of Stodola Pumpa and the result was so good that he kept everyone singing the rest of the verses.

Membership Minute Chairman Ken Cotton reminded all Rotarians of the Avenues of Service. We channel our commitment to service through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity: Club Service focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan. Vocational Service calls on all members to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society. Community Service encourages every member to find ways to improve the quality of life of people in their communities and to serve the public interest. International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects using local member expertise to build long-term partnerships for sustainable projects, seeking service partners abroad, and more. Youth Service recognizes the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs such as Interact, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Rotary Youth Exchange, and New Generations Service Exchange.

Sergeant at Arms Jamie Soukup delivered the following fines: $2 to Jeff Doom for being the Foreign Policy Expert at his table, and $2 for having two helpings of dessert; $2 to Jerry Weber for questions about big game for the Game Warden; $2 to Bill Frei for heckling Sergeant Jamie Soukup over dessert and his receding hairline. Happy Fines of $5 came from Rachel Woods who did 500 T-shirts in a 24-hour time frame for the Avon football championship game; $7 from Jerry Weber for having a new granddaughter; $5 from Amanda Bechen who was pleasantly surprised by getting a real glass of juice in First Class.

Jordan Weber held the winning ticket number but failed to draw the Queen of Hearts. He drew the King of Hearts so came close! Secretary/ Treasurer Craig Krsnak reported that Jordan had missed out on $262.00. The attendance teams of Juffer and Frei are back within two points of each other with Juffer having four misses and Frei having six misses. Football book winners were Callie Kramer and Tami Hanson, both sold by Bill Frei.

There was no regular program scheduled for the day. There was instead a scheduled Rotary Health Check which all Rotary clubs are participating in. The topic was Service and Socials. There was discussion on service projects and socials for our members, Rotarian Rachel Woods was designated as Public Image Reporter and Rotarians Patty and Bill Frei and President Becky Brunsing will constitute as the Membership committee. A Member worksheet to Identify Prospective Members was passed out to all members to be returned at the next few meetings.

We ended our meeting with our usual recitation of The Four-Way Test: Is it the truth? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL & Better FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
