The Wagner Rotary Club met at Wagner Lake on Wednesday July 6th for an evening of work at the Rotary Shelter. There was no official meeting held but several members showed up with shovels, rakes, watering cans, and a post hole digger which saved the day!

The club had plans for a couple of years now to redo the landscaping in front of the shelter. We started at 6:00 p.m. and the project was finished by 7:00. Members enjoyed a chicken supper from Booms.

Over forty bushes and perennials were planted around the flagpole, and the north and south picnic tables located in front of the shelter. This was made possible by a grant from the Rotary Foundation. Please take note of the new bulletin board case that was recently installed also. It has a glass window which allows postings of reservations for the shelter to be posted in advance of events.

We hope the community enjoys the new improvements to the Rotary Shelter. We would also like to thank the City of Wagner and their maintenance crew which has assisted us in the removal of the old landscaping and the preparation for the new plantings.
