The Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 for its regular weekly meeting.
President Bryan Slaba welcomed everyone.
Rotarian Pastor Bill Heermann offered up thanks.
Rotarian Kidd then led us in song. The first was Smile, followed by Let There Be Peace On Earth (and let it begin with me) in remembrance of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas.
Rotarian Cotton presented the Rotary Minute which was a summarization of Rotary’s monthly themes.
Rotarian Jordan Weber, Sergeant at Arms levied the following fines:
$2.00 each for Rotarians Bill and Patti Frei for taking a “Hippie” motorcycle trip to Branson Missouri. The one item noticed was Rotarian Bill Frei didn’t seem to have the hair length to be considered a “Hippie”
$2.00 for Rotarian Doom for gulping, deep breathes and choking on the meal during the Sergeant at Arms report the previous week. Well I guess that is one way to quite Mr. Doom and there aren’t many
$3.50 for Rotarian Cotton interjecting a sub-program in to Rotarian Jordan Weber’s program the previous week.
$1.00 for Rotarian Cotton for a phone infraction for Rotarian Cotton’s guest’s phone going off in the middle of the program the previous week.
$2.00 for Rotarian Slaba for being on vacation the last two weeks. A fine Rotarian Slaba gladly and emphatically accepted!!!
$2.00 for Rotarian Bill Frei for a Smapchat posting of a new Cousy. This Recorder was not informed of the content of the messaging on the Cousy.
$2.00 for Rotarian McAdaragh for the amount of money earned catering to a 400+ wedding reception. Man that’s a lot of meat and potatoes!!!!
$2.00 for Rotarian Jerry Henke for the number of weeks he has been eating TV dinners in the absence of his exceptional spouse, Rotarian Kathe’ Henke.
$5.00 for Rotarian Doom for telling of his Rotarian dream he had of winning the Queen of Hearts which was valued at $2.5 million. Here again it’s his dream!!! Rotarian Doom did receive $2.00 credit as the dream wasn’t inappropriate. President Slaba did state that the fine should stay at $5.00 because if that’s the best Rotarian Doom can dream about there is a concern.
$5.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Jerry Henke in that he will be seeing his lovely wife Rotarian Kathe’ Henke in just two days.
$5.00 Happy Fine for Rotarians Bill Frei and Patti Frei in that their kids didn’t burn down the farm while they went to the Branson Bike Rally to play Hippie.
$5.00 Happy/Sad Fine for Rotarian Kidd who will be leaving Wagner for a new appointment in Hettinger, ND. Now I know where Hettinger, ND is and it is definitely God’s country but really Rotarian Kidd you really have to go there to make it even better. Good Luck, we wish you the best and God Bless!!!!
Rotarian Cotton’s ticket was drawn for the Queen of Heart, he drew the eight of clubs.
