The Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 for its regular weekly meeting.

President Bryan Slaba welcomed everyone.

Three WCS seniors were present: Paige Anderson, Mya Kuhlman and Olivia Breen

Rotarian Pastor Bill Heermann offered up thanks.

Rotarian Kidd then led us in song.

Rotarian Slaba presented the Rotary minutes which was a summarization of “What is Rotary”.

Rotarian Jerry Weber, Sergeant at Arms levied the following fines:

$7.00 for Rotarian Slaba for not getting back to Pearl Weber, mother of Sargent at Arms Jerry Weber, for over a week after mamma Weber had left a voicemail. Don’t ever let mamma Weber wait.

$5.00 for Rotarian Slaba for not informing the club of the upcoming cracker barrel even though he was informed to do so twice. All Rotarian’s are busy so using the, I was too busy, doesn’t give rational for forgetting!

$5.00 self-imposed for Rotarian Slaba for missing the paper deadline with last weeks report.

$2.00 for Rotarian Jamie Soukup for the button’s popping off his shirt when his wife, Char, was being acknowledged as one of WCS’s fantastic counselor’s at last weeks meeting. Rotarian Soukup definitely has the right to be proud but it will cost him

$2.00 for Rotarians Jamie Soukup for his dance moves has he entered the room during the singing of our songs. Let’s just say I feel sorry for his wife’s feet!!!

$2.00 for Rotarian McAdaragh phone infraction. The fine should have been more as Rotarian McAdaragh just looked around as if he was looking to see whose phone had went off thus attempting to distract for it being him.

$2.00 for Rotarian Bechen for entering the room with the look of a secret service agent, sun glasses, bling around the neck, long coat. Look out 007 she’s coming for your job.

$2.00 for Rotarian Heermann for limit under over? Not really sure what the Sargent at Arms was getting at, but the fine was enforced. $2.00 for Rotarian Kidd for using a Lutheran’s fishing net to catch Methodists. Apparently Pastor Kidd (Methodist) borrowed Pastor Heermann’s (Lutheran) fishing net for her sermon on Sunday. Sure glad I wasn’t sitting in the front pew, when she cast that net, it could have hurt

$2.00 for Rotarian Woods for not saying hi to the Sargent at Arms. I was noted that Rotarian Woods believed this was a no win situation in that she is being fined for saying hi to avoid a fine and then again for not saying hi and ignoring the Sargent at Arms.

$4.00 for Rotarian Bill Frei for illegal parking. It seems that Rotarian Frei offered to pick up the meals for Rotarian Patti Frei and when approaching the Rotary Building decided to park in front but facing the wrong way. Although an admirable jester, to pick up the meal, it lacked proper implementation (delivery).

$2.00 for Rotarian Krsnak for salt intake. While attempting to salt his fries an excessive amount was dumped on. Rotarian Slaba thanked Rotarian Krsnak for assuring his job security.

$2.00 for Rotarian Doom as the Sargent at Arms could have been a professional singer if Rotarian Doom wouldn’t have talked to Rotarian Weber throughout their choir classes in high school. Hate to tell you Rotarian Weber, I don’t think it would have made a difference. Take it from one who can hold a tune, it wasn’t the reason you aren’t a professional singer.

$2.00 happy fine for Rotarian Cara Frei for the great job that Jeri McAdaragh does with setting up for our meals and the fantastic desserts she brings.

$2.00 happy fine for Rotarian Patti Frei for Rotarian Bill Frei picking up and delivering the meal for her today.

Rotarian Kathe’ Henke’s ticket was drawn for the Queen of Heart, she drew the seven of spades.

Treasurer/Secretary Craig Krsnak reviewed attendance, the quarter to date is ten misses for the Woods team and fifteen misses for the Brunsing team. The Queen of Hearts grew to $353.

President Slaba then had the three WCS seniors give a brief description of themselves to include:

Who are your parents?

What classes and activities are you involved in?

What are you plans post high school?

President Slaba then turned the meeting over to the Program Chair Rotarian Patti Frei, who gave a presentation of history of Frei Insurance, which has roots as far back as 1923. Rotarian Frei also gave a self-biography as to her high school travels to Europe and her love for agriculture and how it drove her to where she is at today as the primary owner of Frei Insurance. Interesting note, Rotarian Frei still has her CDL from when she graduated Mitchell Technical Institution for Ag Business

President Slaba the lead the group in reciting the Four Way Test.
