The Wagner boys varsity team improved to 12-5 with a win at Burke Monday night. The game was tied 17-17 after the first period. Wagner took a 4 point lead 32-28 into half time. The game remained close throughout but Jesse Zephier and Preston McFayden made free throws down the stretch to help Wagner secure the victory 66-58.

Parker Petry had 19 points and 8 rebounds. Jesse Zephier added 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Carter Cournoyer scored 11 points, had 6 rebounds and recorded 4 blocked shots. Brady Cournoyer scored 10 points, Preston Mc-Fayden scored 8, Joey Cournoyer Jr. scored 4 before suffering an ankle injury that kept him out of most of the game. Javian Pesicka added 2 points.

Wagner JV Defeats Burke The Wagner JV team wonaclose game in Burke Tuesday night. The score was 6-3 in Wagner’s favor after the first period. The boys took a 12-10 lead into half time.

Burk cut the lead to 1 heading into the fourth period before Wagner outscored them 8-11 which made the final score Wagner 32, burke 28. Javian Pesicka scored 16 points, Brady Cournoyer added 6, Frank Soukup scored 4, Kobe Drapeau, Dominic Doom and Ky Arpan each scored 2.
